Chicken Tetrazziniv Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c heavy cream
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1 (8 oz) package spaghetti, broken into pieces
  • 2 tbsps sherry
  • 1 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (4.5 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 c sliced cooked chicken
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Step #3 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Step #4 Add spaghetti, & cook for 8 to 10 mins, or until al dente; drain.
  • Step #5 Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat/flame.
  • Step #6 Stir in flour, salt, & pepper.
  • Step #7 Cook, stirring, until smooth.
  • Step #8 Remove from heat, & slowly stir in the chicken broth & cream.
  • Step #9 Return to heat, & bring to a low boil for 1 min, stirring constantly.
  • Step #10 Add sherry, then stir in the cooked spaghetti, mushrooms, & chicken.
  • Step #11 Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish, & top this with Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #12 Bake 30 mins in the preheated oven, until bubbly & lightly browned.
