Brioche Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 100 g candied orange peel .
  • 250 g golden raisins .
  • 120 g sugar .
  • 300F g brioche bread .
  • 1 c creme fraiche or sour cream .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1/4 liter milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix together the milk, sugar & vanilla until well mixed, creme fraiche, eggs, then stir in the the raisins & orange peel.
  • Step #2 Pull off smallish hunks of brioche & stir in theto the milk mixture.
  • Step #3 Really mash the brioche around.
  • Step #4 Let it stand for about ten mins, soaking up liquid, then smoosh it around some more with a wooden spoon.
  • Step #5 It can't be too smooshed up.
  • Step #6 Spoon it into a loaf mold.
  • Step #7 I use the silicone pans because I find them so easy to use.
  • Step #8 If you DO use them, remember to let the bread pudding cool in the pan before trying to unmold it.
  • Step #9 Then bake this at 200 degrees C for about 35 mins, or until a knife comes out clean.
