Country Chicken & Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 10 1/2 oz cream of chicken soup .
  • 1 1/2 c cheddar cheese (shredded) .
  • 3/4 c milk, plus .
  • 1 c tomatoes (sliced) .
  • 2/3 c milk .
  • 3 oz French-fried onions .
  • 4 chicken breasts (cut into bite size pieces) .
  • 8 slices bacon (cooked & broken into bite size pieces) .
  • 10 oz frozen mixed vegetables (defrosted) .
  • 1 1/2 c biscuit mix

Directions
  • Step #1 Pre-heat oven to 400F degrees.
  • Step #2 In greased 12x8 baking dish, layer the bacon, chicken, vegetables, tomatoes, & then 1 c of cheese.
  • Step #3 Blend the soup & 3/4 c milk with 1/2 of the French fried onions.
  • Step #4 Pour over the casserole, cover with foil wrap & bake for 15 mins.
  • Step #5 While the casserole is baking, mix the biscuit mix, 2/3 c milk, & the remaining french fried onions - mix thoroughly.
  • Step #6 Drop the biscuit dough on top of the cassarole by the spoonfuls to form 6 biscuits around the edge.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with remaining cheese.
  • Step #8 Return to the oven & bake uncovered for 15 - 20 mins, or until biscuits are golden brown.
