Ingredients
  • 2 c heavy cream .
  • 4 minced garlic cloves .
  • 5 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese .
  • 1 1/2 lbs elbow macaroni .
  • 1/2 c seasoned bread crumbs .
  • 1 small sliced onion (1/2 c) .
  • 2 c grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1 c butter .
  • 2 c milk .
  • 6 slices American cheese, broken .
  • 1 c flour .
  • salt & pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°F Butter a 13x9 inch pan.
  • Step #2 Cook macaroni until it is al dente, about 8-10 mins.
  • Step #3 In a small bowl, mix milk & cream.
  • Step #4 In a pan on medium heat, melt only 1/2 lb butter.
  • Step #5 Cook onions & garlic until clear, about 6 mins.
  • Step #6 Add flour & cook/stir for 3 mins.
  • Step #7 Add cream mixture & mix until smooth.
  • Step #8 Boil, stirring every once in awhile, about 8-10 mins.
  • Step #9 Stir in 4 c of Cheddar cheese, American cheese, & 1 c of Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #10 Stir until melted.
  • Step #11 It will be thick & creamy -- Spice up with salt & pepper.
  • Step #12 Stir sauce in pasta.
  • Step #13 Pour in a 13x9 inch pan.
  • Step #14 Sprinkle top with remaining Cheddar, Parmesan & bread crumbs.
  • Step #15 Bake uncovered, middle shelf for 20 mins until bubbling & browned on top.
