Chocolate Bliss Bites Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 large egg whites .
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar .
  • 1/2 c artificial sweetener, divided .
  • 1 tbsp confectioners' sugar (optional) .
  • 1 pinch salt .
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350° & line 2 cookie sheets with foil wrap.
  • Step #2 In a small bowl sift together cocoa, salt & 1/4 c of Splenda.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl, beat egg whites & cream of tartar on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  • Step #4 Beat in remaining 1/4 c Splenda, 1/2 tbsp at a time until meringue is glossy & stiff peaks form.
  • Step #5 Gently fold in cocoa mixture & vanilla extract.
  • Step #6 Drop by rounded tspfuls one inch apart on foil wraped cookie sheets.
  • Step #7 Bake 25 mins for soft chewy cookie, or 40 mins for crisp ones.
  • Step #8 You can customize these! The longer they bake the lighter they get, just don't over bake.
  • Step #9 Dust cooled cookies with confectioners sugar if desired.
