Spinach And Meat Whole Wheat Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c flour .
  • 500 g low fat cottage cheese .
  • 700 ml pasta sauce .
  • 500 g lowfat mozzarella cheese .
  • 60 g butter or margarine .
  • 8 sheets no-boil whole wheat lasagna noodles .
  • 500 g hamburger .
  • 4 (12 oz) boxes frozen spinach .
  • 2 c low-fat milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Place Lasagna Sheets in Boiling water to soften slightly.
  • Step #2 Drain thawed spinach, sqeeze some of excess liquid off.
  • Step #3 Brown Mince & drain off fat, return to pan add pasta sauce.
  • Step #4 Simmer for 10-15 min.
  • Step #5 Make Bechemel Sauce by melting butter, adding flour & stirring over med heat for 2 mins, slowly add milk bringing to boil to thicken.
  • Step #6 Then add Cottage Cheese slowly, incorporating into milk mixture & heating through.
  • Step #7 Place layer of lasagna sheets on bottom.
  • Step #8 Place half Spinach in layer.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top with Mozzarella Cheese.
  • Step #10 Place layer of lasagna sheets.
  • Step #11 Place half of meat mixture in next layer.
  • Step #12 Repeat steps layers, & top this with layer of lasagna sheets, bechemel sauce & sprinkly liberally with mozzarella cheese.
  • Step #13 Cook at 180°C for 45 min.
