Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/8 tsp pepper .
  • 1 1/2 c milk .
  • 2 tbsps all-purpose flour .
  • 2 tbsps grated parmesan cheese .
  • 4 c thinly sliced baking potatoes (about 4 large) .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese .
  • 1 tsp sliced fresh thyme .
  • 1 tsp sliced fresh parsley .
  • 1 tsp sliced fresh chives .
  • 1/2 c mayonnaise

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine 1/2 c mayonnaise & next 3 ingredients in a saucepan.
  • Step #2 Gradually add milk, & cook, stirring constantly, over medium-low heat 8 to 10 mins or until thickened.
  • Step #3 Remove from heat.
  • Step #4 Add Cheddar cheese & next 3 ingredients, stirring until cheese melts & is well mixed.
  • Step #5 Place half of potato slices evenly in a lightly greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish; pour half of cheese mixture over potatoes.
  • Step #6 Repeat layers with remaining half of potato slices & cheese mixture.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top evenly with Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #8 Bake, covered, at 350° for 1 hr.
  • Step #9 Uncover & bake 30 more mins or until potatoes are golden brown & fork tender.
