Ingredients
  • 1/4 c Splenda sugar substitute .
  • 1/4 tsp mixed spice (nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon etc) .
  • 1 1/4 c wholemeal self-rising flour .
  • 1 tsp ginger .
  • 1 tsp vinegar .
  • 1 egg white .
  • 1/4 c applesauce .
  • 1/4 c sugar-free maple syrup

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 Whisk egg white a little, then mix in applesauce, sugar & egg white.
  • Step #5 3.
  • Step #6 Add in the maple syrup & vinegar.
  • Step #7 4.
  • Step #8 In a separate bowl mix the first 3 ingredients.
  • Step #9 5.
  • Step #10 Mix the flour into the wet mixture.
  • Step #11 6.
  • Step #12 Either roll out & use a cookie cutter or place scooped tbsps onto a baking tray.
  • Step #13 7.
  • Step #14 Bake for 10-12 mins.
  • Step #15 8.
  • Step #16 Serve with marmalade, jam, butter, maple syrup, cream.
