Fish Steaks Livornese Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tbsps garlic, sliced .
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil .
  • 1/2 c white wine .
  • 1/2 c onions, sliced .
  • 1 tsp capers, minced .
  • 2 lbs fish steaks .
  • 1/2-1 c clam juice (or use a seafood broth) .
  • 10 large green pimento stuffed olives, sliced .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can sliced tomatoes with juice

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat olive oil & saute sliced onion until translucent.
  • Step #2 Add wine & boil until reduced by at least half.
  • Step #3 Add remaining ingredients except for the fish steaks.
  • Step #4 Simmer for about 15 mins, until thickened.
  • Step #5 Cover up if you want to keep it "saucy".
  • Step #6 Add the fish steaks to the sauce & continue cooking about 10-15 mins, until fish just flakes.
