Brazilian Collard Greens Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic .
  • 2 lbs collard greens .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil .
  • 1/3 c minced shallots .
  • kosher salt & pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Remove & discard stems from collard greens & cut leaves into strips.
  • Step #2 Heat oil & butter in large saute pan over medium-high heat.
  • Step #3 Add shallots & garlic, sauteing until brown.
  • Step #4 Slowly add collard greens, stirring until they reach the desired degree of tenderness, about 15 mins (time will vary on your personal taste).
  • Step #5 Add kosher salt & pepper to taste.
