Brazilian Collard Greens Recipe

Ingredients

1 tbsp minced garlic .
2 lbs collard greens .
1 tbsp butter .
2 tbsps olive oil .
1/3 c minced shallots .
kosher salt & pepper

Directions

Step #1 Remove & discard stems from collard greens & cut leaves into strips.
Step #2 Heat oil & butter in large saute pan over medium-high heat.
Step #3 Add shallots & garlic, sauteing until brown.
Step #4 Slowly add collard greens, stirring until they reach the desired degree of tenderness, about 15 mins (time will vary on your personal taste).
Step #5 Add kosher salt & pepper to taste.
