Ingredients
1 (10 3/4 oz) can cream of chicken soup .
1/4 c pimentos, sliced .
4 c celery, sliced in 1-inch pieces .
1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, sliced .
1/2 c soft breadcrumbs .
1/4 c almonds, sliced .
3 tbsps butter, melted
Directions
Step #1 Bring a small amount of salted water to a boil.
Step #2 Add your sliced celery.
Step #3 (I cut it on the bias)Cook for no more than 8 min You want it to stay crunchy.
Step #4 Drain & mix with the pimentoes, soup, & water chestnuts.
Step #5 Place in a sprayed 9x9 casserole.
Step #6 Combine the breadcrumbs, almonds & melted butter & sprinkle it over the top.
Step #7 Bake at 350F 20 min until it bubbles.
Step #8 PS: If you can buy PANKO(Asian Breadcrumbs).
Step #9 use those instead of the soft breadcrumbs.
Step #10 The recipe is very old, & Pankowas not available.
