Stuffed Green Peppers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 large green peppers, gutted (halved if super large) .
  • 1 (10 oz) can tomato soup .
  • 1 tbsp dried onion flakes .
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce (or more, to taste) .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 2 c cheddar cheese (separated) .
  • 1 lb ground beef .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 c instant rice, uncooked (I've tried other kinds, & it's pretty hit or miss with everything but the instant)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step #2 Pre-cook peppers in boiling, salted water for five mins.
  • Step #3 Brown ground beef in skillet, drain.
  • Step #4 Combine soup, pepper, onion, rice, salt, worcestershire sauce, & 1 1/2 c cheese in a bowl.
  • Step #5 Place peppers upright in baking dish.
  • Step #6 Stuff with mixture -- any leftover mixture can be spooned around the peppers.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with remaining cheese.
  • Step #8 Bake at 350 for 40 mins, or until the cheese is bubbly & the rice is cooked.
  • Step #9 This can also be cooked in the microwave, on high, covered, for 12 mins.
