Pineapple Sherbet Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained .
  • 1 c whipping cream .
  • 2 c half-and-half .
  • 3 c sugar .
  • 6 c milk .
  • 4 lemons, juice of (1/2 c)

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 3 ingredients, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  • Step #2 Stir in lemon juice.
  • Step #3 Beat whipping cream at medium speed with an electric mixer just until thickened, fold into milk mixture.
  • Step #4 Fold in pineapple.
  • Step #5 Pour pineapple mixture into freezer conatainer of a 1-gallon hand turned or electric freezer.
  • Step #6 Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Step #7 Pack freezer with extra ice & rock salt & let this stand 1 hr before serving.
