Poached Peaches In Vanilla Syrup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 vanilla pod, split .
  • soy yogurt, to serve .
  • 2 peaches .
  • 1/2 c caster sugar .
  • 1 1/2 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 Bring a medium sized saucepan of water to the boil.
  • Step #2 Drop in the peaches.
  • Step #3 Cook for 30 seconds & remove.
  • Step #4 Remove the skin & slice from the stone.
  • Step #5 Place water, sugar, vanilla pod & peaches in a medium sized saucepan.
  • Step #6 Slowly bring to a simmer & cook this until peaches are just cooked.
  • Step #7 Remove from heat.
  • Step #8 Serve warm with a dollop of yoghurt, or cream or icecream.
