Candied Rose Petals Recipe

Ingredients
  • 18 small rose petals .
  • 3 tbsps water .
  • 1/2 c superfine sugar .
  • 1 1/2 tsps meringue powder .
  • 1 c powdered sugar, sifted

Directions
  • Step #1 Rinse the rose petals very well & lay them out to dry on paper towels.
  • Step #2 Combine the powdered sugar, meringue powder & water in a mixing bowl.
  • Step #3 Beat on lowish speed until mixed, then beat on high speed 4-5 mins or until fluffy.
  • Step #4 Brush this mixture on all sides of the dry rose petals & then dust them with the superfine sugar.
  • Step #5 Let stands on wire rack for 24 hrs to dry.
