Pork Chops With Mushroom Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 c water .
  • 2 bay leaves .
  • 2 tbsps beef bouillon granules .
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz) jar sliced mushrooms, drained .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 1 tsp browning sauce .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 4 pork chops (1/2-inch thick) .
  • 1/2 c flour, divided .
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil .
  • 1/2 c Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, divided

Directions
  • Step #1 In a shallow bowl, mix half of the flour & breadcrumbs.
  • Step #2 Coat the pork chops.
  • Step #3 In a large skillet, over med-heat/flame, brown pork chops on both sides in oil.
  • Step #4 Add onion, garlic, pepper & water.
  • Step #5 Stir in bouillon, browning sauce & bay leaves, bring to a boil.
  • Step #6 Reduce heat; cover & let simmer for 1 1/2 hrs.
  • Step #7 or until pork is tender.
  • Step #8 Remove bay leaves.
  • Step #9 Remove pork to a serving platter & keep warm.
  • Step #10 Add mushrooms to the skillet.
  • Step #11 Combine cold water & remaining flour until smooth, stir in theto pan juices.
  • Step #12 Bring to a boil until thickened & bubbly.
  • Step #13 Stir in the remaining breadcrumbs.
  • Step #14 Serve over pork chops.
  • Step #15 Serve with butter noodles or mashed potatoes.
