Caramel Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1/2 c heavy whipping cream .
  • 3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar .
  • 3 tbsps butter .
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions
  • Step #1 mix 3/4 c brown sugar, whipping cream, cream of tartar & butter in 1-quart saucepan.
  • Step #2 Cook over med-heat/flame, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved (3 to 4 mins).
  • Step #3 Remove from heat stir in the vanilla.
  • Step #4 Drizzle sauce over each piece of cake.
