Candied Carrots Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c canned jellied cranberry sauce .
  • 5 medium carrots .
  • 1/4 c butter .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps light brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Scrape carrots & slice crosswise on bias about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Step #2 Cook, covered in small amount of boiling water, until just tender, 6 to 10 mins.
  • Step #3 Combine butter, cranberry sauce, brown sugar & salt in skillet.
  • Step #4 Heat slowly & stir until cranberry sauce melts.
  • Step #5 Add drained carrots; heat, stirring every once in awhile, until nicely glazed on all sides about 5 mins.
