Crab Whiskey Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (32 oz) container chicken broth
  • 4 shallots, minced
  • 1/3 c whiskey
  • 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 3 1/2 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 lbs cooked crabmeat, flaked
  • 1 c milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsps olive oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat the olive oil in a large pot over med-heat/flame, & saute the shallots & garlic until tender.
  • Step #2 Pour in the chicken broth, & bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 In a small bowl, mix the milk & flour.
  • Step #4 Stir the mixture into the pot, & continue cooking until soup is slightly thickened.
  • Step #5 Spice up the soup with cayenne pepper, salt, & pepper.
  • Step #6 Mix in the crab & whiskey, & cook this until heated through.
