Grilled Mixed Fruit Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c sugar .
  • 1/4 c sliced fresh mint leaves .
  • FRUIT .
  • SIMPLE SYRUP .
  • 4 bananas, halved lengthwise .
  • 3 tbsps simple syrup .
  • 1/4 c water .
  • 1 c fresh blueberries .
  • 1 pint strawberries, hulled & halved .
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 1 lemon, juice of

Directions
  • Step #1 FRUIT:.
  • Step #2 Place a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Step #3 In a medium bowl, toss the fruit in the sugar to coat.
  • Step #4 Grill over med-heat/flame, until a golden crust begins to form on the fruit, about 3 to 4 mins per side.
  • Step #5 In another medium bowl, mix together the mint, lemon juice, & simple syrup.
  • Step #6 Arrange the fruit on a serving platter, drizzle the mint syrup over top, & serve.
  • Step #7 MAKE SIMPLE SYRUP - MAKE IT FIRST:.
  • Step #8 In a saucepan, mix water & sugar over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #9 Bring to a boil, then reduce heat & let simmer for 5 mins, or until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Step #10 Take pan off heat & cool the syrup before using.
  • Step #11 Any extra cooled syrup can be put in the fridged in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
