Asparagus With Thai Dipping Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 garlic, minced .
  • 1/4 tsp hot chili paste .
  • 1 tbsp sugar .
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or cider vinegar) .
  • 1 lb asparagus .
  • 1 tbsp lime juice .
  • 1 tbsp Thai fish sauce (or soy sauce) .
  • 1 tbsp water

Directions
  • Step #1 Break off tough ends of asparagus.
  • Step #2 Bring large skillet of water to boil.
  • Step #3 Add asparagus & cook for 3 - 4 mins or until it is bright green & stalks bend slightly.
  • Step #4 Drain well & place on serving dish.
  • Step #5 (If serving chilled -- run asparagus under cold water to stop the cooking process & pat dry before combining with the sauce).
  • Step #6 In a small bowl, water, whisk together lime juice, sugar, fish sauce, vinegar & chili paste.
  • Step #7 Drizzle over asparagus or use as dipping sauce.
