Sarah's Orange Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps yeast .
  • 2 c water, lukewarm .
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 2 large eggs .
  • 1/3 c powdered milk .
  • 1/3 c margarine, melted (not tub margarine) .
  • 2 c flour .
  • 3-4 c flour .
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Put all ingredients except the last of the flour In a large-ish bowl & mix on high speed until the mixture is smooth.
  • Step #2 Add flour greadually until the beaters won't take any more.
  • Step #3 , then mix the flour in by hand.
  • Step #4 Knead until smooth.
  • Step #5 Let raise until double.
  • Step #6 Divide dough in half.
  • Step #7 Roll dough out 1/4-inch thick.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with 1 c sugar which has been mixed with grated rind of one orange & enough of the juice just to moisten the sugar.
  • Step #9 Roll up & slice with a string approximately 1-inch thick.
  • Step #10 Place on greased cookie sheet or parchment paper.
  • Step #11 Bake at 350° for 10-15 mins.
  • Step #12 Frost with orange icing.
