Ingredients
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 c sliced pecans
  • 1 c packed light brown sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 c confectioners' sugar
  • 3 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c sliced pecans (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Cream together white & brown sugars, eggs, baking soda, salt, butter or margarine, & vanilla.
  • Step #3 Spoon in flour & mix well.
  • Step #4 Mix in 1 c sliced pecans.
  • Step #5 Drop by tsp onto cookie sheets.
  • Step #6 Bake 8 to 10 mins.
  • Step #7 Let cookies cool, then place filling on one cookie & put together like a sandwich.
  • Step #8 To Make Filling: Mix together cream cheese, confectioner's sugar & 1 c sliced pecans (optional).
  • Step #9 Spread on cooled cookies.
