Tempura Fish Stir-fry With Assorted Peppers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 medium green pepper .
  • 1 (2 oz) packet tempura mix .
  • 1 medium orange bell pepper .
  • 1 medium red pepper .
  • 24 ml water .
  • 500 g pacific dory fillets (Or other flaky fish) .
  • 3 tbsps oil .
  • For Sauce Spice uping .
  • 1 tsp oil .
  • 3 sprigs coriander, sliced .
  • For Cornflour Mixture .
  • 4 tbsps abalone sauce .
  • 1 large onion, sliced .
  • For Stir-frying .
  • 3 c oil .
  • For Deep frying .
  • 4 tbsps water .
  • 2 tsps cornflour

Directions
  • Step #1 Firstly, follow instructions on tempura batter packet.
  • Step #2 Slice the fish fillets into 2 - 4 inch chunks, & coat with tempura batter.
  • Step #3 Heat the oil for deep frying (3 c) in a shallow pan, & deep fry till golden brown.
  • Step #4 Set Aside.
  • Step #5 In a wok, put 3 tbsps of oil in & fry onions for 2 mins on medium until fragrant.
  • Step #6 Add assorted peppers in & stir-fry on high heat till cooked, or if desired, till slightly charred (for a pleasant, sharper taste.
  • Step #7 ).
  • Step #8 Add in the deep fried fish fillets with the peppers, fry on high heat for 1 min Cover up, & leave to simmer on low heat.
  • Step #9 While fish & peppers are simmering, in a sauce pan, heat 1 tsp of oil & heat on medium flame.
  • Step #10 Add 4 tbsps of abalone sauce & fry for a few seconds.
  • Step #11 Then, add the cornflour & 4 tbsp of water together separately into a c, mix well, add to abalone sauce.
  • Step #12 Stir carefully until mixture is bubbling.
  • Step #13 Pour the abalone sauce seasoning into the simmering wok.
  • Step #14 Take off heat.
  • Step #15 Mix sliced coriander with the stir-fry dish.
  • Step #16 Serve as soon as possible.
