Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper .
  • Garnish .
  • 1 c light cream .
  • 3 tbsps butter .
  • 3 tbsps butter .
  • 1 lb mushrooms .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 4 slices white bread, crusts trimmed off

Directions
  • Step #1 Slice mushrooms.
  • Step #2 In a skillet, melt 3 tbsps butter.
  • Step #3 When butter is foaming, add sliced mushrooms; stir them well for 1 min to coat thoroughly with butter.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top with salt & pepper.
  • Step #5 Add cream & let simmer carefully for 5 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #6 To make garnish, cut each slice of bread into 4 triangles.
  • Step #7 Melt butter in a skillet & saute triangles on each side, until slightly browned.
  • Step #8 Serve mushrooms in shallow, single-serving casserole dish & stand toast triangles around the edges, with points up.
