Step #1 Preheat oven to 325°F Clean turkey & place this into a roasting pan with a lid.
Step #2 In a small bowl, ground sage, dried basil, mix olive oil, garlic powder, salt & black pepper.
Step #3 Using a basting brush apply the mixture to the outside of the uncooked turkey.
Step #4 Pour water into the bottom of the pan & cover.
Step #5 Bake for 3 to 3.
Step #6 5 hrs or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the thigh measures 180°F
Remove bird from oven & let this stand for about 30 mins before carving.
