Mincemeat Pie

• 1 c light brown sugar, packed .
• 1 1/2 tsps baking powder .
• 1/2 c mincemeat .
• 1/4 tsp salt .
• 1/2 c walnuts, sliced .
• 1 egg .
• 1 c all-purpose flour .
• 1/4 c unsalted butter, room temperature .
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, & grease an 8" square baking dish.
• Step #2 In bowl, whisk flour with baking powder & salt.
• Step #3 With electric mixer, brown sugar, in another bowl, beat butter, egg & vanilla until light & fluffy.
• Step #4 Stir in mincemeat.
• Step #5 Add flour mixture, stirring until well mixd, then stir in the nuts.
• Step #6 Spread in prepared baking dish, & bake 25-30 mins.
• Step #7 Cool, but while still warm, cut into squares.
