Fudgy Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c whipping cream .
  • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate, sliced .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 2 c sugar .
  • 3/4 c butter .
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate or bittersweet chocolate, sliced (I used semisweet) .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
  • 1 c flour .
  • 1 c walnuts (optional) .
  • 4 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350-degrees F.
  • Step #2 Spray a 9 x9-inch pan with Pam (cooking spray or grease pan).
  • Step #3 In a saucepan over low heat/flame, mix 5 oz semisweet semisweet chocolate, 3/4 c butter & unsweetened chocolate, stirring until melted & smooth.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat.
  • Step #5 In a large bowl whisk sugar, eggs, vanilla & salt together.
  • Step #6 Stir in chocolate mixture.
  • Step #7 Stir in flour, nuts (if using) & chocolate chips.
  • Step #8 Pour mixture in prepared pan, spreading evenly.
  • Step #9 Bake for 30-40 mins or until brownies test done when toothpick is inserted in center (the toothpick will be moist with crumbs attached).
  • Step #10 While brownies are cooking bring cream to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • Step #11 Remove from heat & whisk in the remaining 3 oz semisweet or bittersweet chocolate.
  • Step #12 Pour glaze over brownies & chill uncovered for 1 hr.
