Paneer And Corn (cottage Cheese And Corn) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp chili powder .
  • 2 tbsps cream .
  • 1/2 inch piece gingerroot (12 mm) .
  • 2 tbsps oil .
  • 2 cloves .
  • 1 c sweet corn, boiled .
  • 1/2 c curds, beaten .
  • 3 tbsps warm milk .
  • 1/2 c onion puree .
  • 1 c panir, cut into 1-inch cubes (cottage cheese) .
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala .
  • broken cashews .
  • 1 bay leaf .
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds .
  • 1 tsp sugar .
  • 1 cinnamon stick (25 mm.) .
  • salt .
  • 2 garlic cloves .
  • 4 tomatoes, pureed

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Soak the cashewnuts & poppy seeds in warm milk for 25 mins.
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 Add the garlic & ginger & grind to a smooth paste.
  • Step #5 Keep aside.
  • Step #6 3.
  • Step #7 Heat the oil in a pan, bay leaf, add the onions, cinnamon & cloves & sauté till the onions turn golden brown.
  • Step #8 4.
  • Step #9 Add the chilli powder, ground paste & tomatoes & let simmer for 3 to 4 mins.
  • Step #10 5.
  • Step #11 Add the curds, sugar, cream, garam masala & salt & let simmer till the gravy thickens & the oil separates from the masala.
  • Step #12 6.
  • Step #13 Add some water to thin down the gravy if required.
  • Step #14 Add the paneer & corn & mix well.
  • Step #15 7.
  • Step #16 Serve hot garnished with coriander.
