Peanut Butter Ice Cream Bomb Recipe

Ingredients
  • 20 Oreo cookies .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 2 tsps water .
  • 1 c crunchy peanut butter .
  • Frosting .
  • Crust .
  • 1 gallon vanilla ice cream .
  • Filling .
  • 1 tsp unflavored gelatin .
  • 1/4 c sugar .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 2 c heavy whipping cream

Directions
  • Step #1 Filling:.
  • Step #2 Line a glass or plastic bowl with plastic bag.
  • Step #3 (Walmart bags work great!).
  • Step #4 Soften vanilla ice cream enough to mix in a mixer.
  • Step #5 Mix together 1/2 gallon of ice cream with peanut butter & vanilla.
  • Step #6 (Mix until smooth, but not runny.
  • Step #7 ).
  • Step #8 Pour into lined bowl & freeze for about 30 mins or until hard.
  • Step #9 Put remaining ice cream in fridge so it will stay soft.
  • Step #10 Spread the rest of vanilla ice cream in the bowl & allow to freeze for about 30 mins or until hard.
  • Step #11 Crust:.
  • Step #12 Meanwhile, crush oreos in food processor/blender or just put them in a plastic bag & beat them until fine crumbs form.
  • Step #13 Melt butter & mix into the oreos until well coated.
  • Step #14 Press onto the frozen ice cream & freeze for at least 2 hrs or overnight.
  • Step #15 Frosting:.
  • Step #16 Mix gelatin & water together until dissolved.
  • Step #17 With electric mixer, whisk whipping cream, vanilla & sugar together until just starting to thicken.
  • Step #18 Slowly pour the dissolved gelatin into mixture & whip util stiff peaks form.
  • Step #19 Decorating ideas:.
  • Step #20 Take bomb out of freezer & invert onto desired plate.
  • Step #21 Take off plastic bag.
  • Step #22 Pipe whipping cream onto bomb however you desire.
  • Step #23 I used a #5 tip & piped little stars all over the cake from bottom to top, & left just enough room on the top to write happy birthday.
