Ingredients

1 c lard .
2 c cornmeal .
2 c white flour .
2 c whole wheat flour .
2 c quick-cooking oats .
1 3/4 c water .
2 c Crisco .
1/2 c sugar .
1 tsp salt

Directions

Step #1 Combine the two flours, oats, & sugar in a bowl, salt, cornmeal, kneading with your hands.
Step #2 Add the crisco & lard & mix well.
Step #3 Add enough water to make a stiff dough.
Step #4 Divide the dough into smaller portions & store them in your freezer in plastic bags.
Step #5 When you need one, take one out of the freezer & thaw out & then press into the holes in your log feeder.
