Chicken Nepiev Recipe

Ingredients
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 4 tbsps garlic flavored cream cheese spread
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - lbed to 1/4 inch thickness
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/4 c garlic & herb seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

Directions
  • Step #1 In a c or small bowl, stir this together the Italian seasoning, onion powder & garlic powder.
  • Step #2 Sprinkle top over both sides of the chicken.
  • Step #3 Place 1 tbsp of cream cheese on the center of each piece, & spread slightly.
  • Step #4 Tuck in the sides, & roll up tightly.
  • Step #5 Secure with toothpicks.
  • Step #6 Place the bread crumbs on a plate or in a shallow bowl.
  • Step #7 Roll the chicken rolls in the bread crumbs to coat.
  • Step #8 Place on a plate, cover, & freeze for about 30 mins.
  • Step #9 Preheat the oven to 400F degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Step #10 Heat the butter & oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #11 Brown the chicken rolls on all sides, this should take about 5 mins.
  • Step #12 Transfer the rolls to a baking dish.
  • Step #13 Bake for 20 mins in the preheated oven, or until chicken is no longer pink & the juices run clear.
  • Step #14 Spoon drippings from the dish over the rolls before serving.
