Chocolate "bomb" Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c unsalted butter .
  • 2 tbsps rum ar cognac .
  • 225 g semisweet chocolate .
  • 3 tbsps water .
  • 2 egg yolks .
  • 1 c toasted slivered almonds (optional) .
  • 1 (250 g) package biscuits .
  • 1 1/2 c icing sugar .
  • 1 1/2 c cocoa .
  • 3 egg yolks

Directions
  • Step #1 1.
  • Step #2 Melt the chocolate & butter in "bain-marie".
  • Step #3 2.
  • Step #4 Beat eggs & the yolks with sugar until the mixture becomes white, add cocoa, water & rum.
  • Step #5 3.
  • Step #6 After it gets cold, add the chocolate mixture into the eggs mixture & stir constantly.
  • Step #7 4.
  • Step #8 Add the almonds & the biscuits in small pieces & stir well.
  • Step #9 5.
  • Step #10 Pour the mixture into a bowl( in the shape of a hemisphere), after having it covered with a plastic membrane to prevent the mixture from soldering.
  • Step #11 6.
  • Step #12 Keep "Bomb" in refridgerator.
  • Step #13 7.
  • Step #14 Should you like the "Bomb" with chocolate syrup, which you prepare as follows.
  • Step #15 Melt in "bain-marie" 150gr.
  • Step #16 of dark chocolate with 1/2 c of cream & 2 tbsps of cognac.
  • Step #17 Make sure the "Bomb" is cold when pouring over it.
  • Step #18 Garnish with whipped cream.
  • Step #19 Another way of serving is to place the mixture in the refridgerator to cool, then make small 1 inch round balls & place this in baking c to serve.
