Swedish Leg Of Lamb Recipe

Ingredients
  • For the gravy .
  • 2 c strong coffee .
  • 1 oz brandy .
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, slivered .
  • 5 tbsps flour, may need more .
  • 1 c cream .
  • 3/4 c currant jelly .
  • 6-7 lbs boneless leg of lamb .
  • 4 tbsps sugar .
  • flour, for gravy .
  • 1 tbsp salt .
  • For the Lamb .
  • 4 tbsps cream .
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard

Directions
  • Step #1 Make small slits in the lamb & insert the garlic slivers.
  • Step #2 Mix the salt & dry mustard & rub it into the meat.
  • Step #3 Bake the lamb at 350 degrees F.
  • Step #4 for 1 hr & then baste with a mixture of the coffee, sugar, the 4 tbsps of cream, & the brandy.
  • Step #5 Bake another 2 to 2 1/2 hrs, to your liking.
  • Step #6 To make the gravy, scrape the drippings from the roasting pan; add flour (more if needed), 1 c of cream & the currant jelly & mix.
