Texas Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 carrots, cut into 1/2 inch pieces .
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) can condensed beef broth, undiluted .
  • 2 lbs beef caps, cut into 1 inch cubes .
  • 10 oz frozen whole kernel corn, thawed .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 (8 oz) jar mild picante sauce .
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 (14 oz) can canned Mexican style stewed tomatoes .
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed .
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin .
  • 1/2 c water .
  • 1 onion, cut into thin wedges

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 10 ingredients In a large-ish slow cooker (aka crockpot).
  • Step #2 Cook, covered, on high for 3 or 4 hrs or until meat is tender.
  • Step #3 Stir together flour & water.
  • Step #4 Stir into meat mixture & cook on high setting 1 hr or until thickened.
