Chocolate Goddess Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 2 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 c rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
  • Step #3 In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar & white sugar until smooth.
  • Step #4 Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the the vanilla.
  • Step #5 Combine the flour, baking soda, salt & cinnamon; slowly mix into the creamed mixture.
  • Step #6 Stir in the oats.
  • Step #7 Press the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Step #8 Bake for 25 to 30 mins in the preheated oven, until firm & lightly toasted at the edges.
  • Step #9 Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or in a metal bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring frequently until smooth.
  • Step #10 Spread over bars.
  • Step #11 Cool completely before cutting into squares.
