Ingredients
  • 3 c flour .
  • 1 c raisins .
  • 1 tsp baking powder .
  • 1 1/4 c buttermilk .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1 tsp baking soda .
  • 2 tbsps melted butter .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 2/3 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, & salt In a large-ish bowl; mix well & then add raisins.
  • Step #2 Beat eggs in a smaller bowl.
  • Step #3 Add buttermilk to eggs & beat till mixd.
  • Step #4 Add egg mixture to butter & dry ingredients.
  • Step #5 Stir until moistened & pour this into greased layer cake pan or pie pan.
  • Step #6 (dough will be very thick & dense).
  • Step #7 Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr.
  • Step #8 *Delicious served hot with butter!*.
