Aunt Betty's Fruit Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (14 oz) can chunk pineapple, reserve juice .
  • 1 (14 oz) can peaches, reserve juice .
  • 1 (10 oz) jar maraschino cherries, drained .
  • 1 (6 oz) package of any flavor Jello gelatin, I use Cherry .
  • 1 c walnuts, sliced (optional) .
  • some fresh green grapes .
  • 1 (6 oz) can mandarin oranges, reserve juice

Directions
  • Step #1 Drain the canned fruit.
  • Step #2 Use up to 2 c of it for 2 c of the liquid in the jello.
  • Step #3 Make up the jello using 2 c of boiling water, & 2 c of juice from the canned fruit, mixing well.
  • Step #4 Put into the mold.
  • Step #5 Refrigerate for about 1 1/2 hrs.
  • Step #6 , or until jello is partially set.
  • Step #7 Stir in the drained fruit & nuts, & put in the fridge until set.
  • Step #8 When ready to serve, tip bottom of mold into hot water for a few seconds.
  • Step #9 This will help to release mold onto serving plate.
  • Step #10 When ready to serve, place serving plate on top of mold & invert.
  • Step #11 Serve.
