Sunday Dinner Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce .
  • 2 tbsps worcestershire sauce .
  • 8 carrots, peeled & cut into pieces .
  • 2 tbsps tomato paste .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 c red wine (optional) .
  • 3 c beef stock or instant beef bouillon .
  • 1/4 c vegetable oil .
  • 4 large potatoes, quartered .
  • 2 onions, sliced .
  • 1/3 c flour .
  • 1 (5-6 lb) rump roast .
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine the flour, salt & pepper.
  • Step #2 Coat beef on all sides with flour mixture.
  • Step #3 Heat oil in a Dutch oven over med-heat/flame, then brown the roast on all sides.
  • Step #4 When the beef is browned, add the bouillon, Worcestershire sauce, wine, soy sauce, garlic, & tomato paste.
  • Step #5 Lay sliced onions on top of meat.
  • Step #6 Cover up & bake in 275 degree oven for 6-8 hrs.
  • Step #7 When meat is tender, add the potatoes & carrots & bake for one more hr or until vegetables are done.
