Step #1 This first part is best made ahead to allow for cooling.
Step #2 In a small sauce pan, mix flour into milk, then heat on low heat, stirring constantly until mixture resembles a thick pudding.
Step #3 Cover up & let cool.
Step #4 In a separate bowl, cream butter with sugar.
Step #5 Add vanilla & mix until smooth.
Step #6 Add first mixture after fully cooled.
Step #7 Decorate as usual.
Step #8 Should be able to ice one 8x8 cake.
Step #9 Excellent for Carrot Cake when using Cream Cheese.
Step #10 Note - this is not a good recipe to sit out of refrigerator for too long, unlike the powdered sugar icings.
