Chinese Chop Suey Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 minced garlic clove .
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce .
  • 1 c onions, sliced .
  • cooked rice (optional) .
  • 1/2 lb beef or pork or chickens, cut into small pieces .
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch .
  • Chinese noodles (optional) .
  • 1 (14 oz) can bean sprouts, drained .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1 (10 oz) can mushrooms, drained, saving liquid .
  • 1/4 c oil .
  • 1 c celery, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil in fry pan.
  • Step #2 Add the meat, soya sauce, salt, & garlic; brown quickly & remove this from pan.
  • Step #3 To the pan add onion, celery, mushrooms, & bean sprouts & fry a few mins.
  • Step #4 Add meat.
  • Step #5 Mix cornstarch with mushroom liquid & add to pan.
  • Step #6 Heat until hot & thickened.
  • Step #7 Chinese noodles may be added before serving.
  • Step #8 Service with rice.
  • Step #9 NOTE: Leftover meats may be used in this recipe.
  • Step #10 Serves 4.
