Ingredients
  • 1 c soft butter .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 3/4 c finely sliced walnuts .
  • 2 1/4 c flour (sifted) .
  • ADDITIONAL .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 3 c confectioners' sugar .
  • 1/2 c confectioners' sugar (sifted)

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix the butter, confectioners sugar, & vanilla together & cream well.
  • Step #2 Add the flour & the salt & mix well.
  • Step #3 Add the walnuts & mix well.
  • Step #4 Chill dough.
  • Step #5 Roll into 1" balls.
  • Step #6 Place on ungreased baking sheet; bake this at 375 to 400F degrees till set, but not brown--about 10-12 mins.
  • Step #7 While still warm, roll in the extra confectioners sugar & cool.
  • Step #8 Roll in the confectioners sugar again.
