Chocolate Pistachio Biscotti Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 c unbleached flour .
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda .
  • 1/2 c chocolate chips .
  • 3 eggs, medium .
  • 1/4 c unsalted butter .
  • 3/4 c pistachio nuts, sliced .
  • 3/4 tsp orange juice .
  • 1 3/4 tbsps baking powder .
  • 3/4 c granulated sugar .
  • 3/4 c cocoa powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step #2 Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl & mix.
  • Step #3 Cream the butter & sugar in your mixer on medium speed.
  • Step #4 Slow the mixer & add eggs & orange juice.
  • Step #5 With the mixer still on slow, add the dry ingredients, then the nuts & chocolate chips.
  • Step #6 Shape into one log, one inch high & four to five inches wide.
  • Step #7 Bake for 30 mins, until firm.
  • Step #8 Let cool & slice into twelve 1 inch thick pieces.
  • Step #9 Lay the slices on their side & bake an extra 15 mins, until crisp.
  • Step #10 Store up to 1 week in an airtight container.
