Pistachio And Chocolate Cream
Ingredients
2 1/4 c unbleached flour .
3/4 tsp baking soda .
1/2 c chocolate chips .
3 eggs, medium .
1/4 c unsalted butter .
3/4 c pistachio nuts, sliced .
3/4 tsp orange juice .
1 3/4 tbsps baking powder .
3/4 c granulated sugar .
3/4 c cocoa powder
Directions
Step #1 Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Step #2 Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl & mix.
Step #3 Cream the butter & sugar in your mixer on medium speed.
Step #4 Slow the mixer & add eggs & orange juice.
Step #5 With the mixer still on slow, add the dry ingredients, then the nuts & chocolate chips.
Step #6 Shape into one log, one inch high & four to five inches wide.
Step #7 Bake for 30 mins, until firm.
Step #8 Let cool & slice into twelve 1 inch thick pieces.
Step #9 Lay the slices on their side & bake an extra 15 mins, until crisp.
Step #10 Store up to 1 week in an airtight container.
