Mom's Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese (large size container) .
  • 1 (26 oz) jar chunky garden pasta sauce (I use Ragu) .
  • 1 (16 oz) box lasagna noodles (you'll have some extra) .
  • italian seasoning, to taste .
  • 1 (26 oz) jar pasta sauce, of your prefered spice flavor (I use Ragu) .
  • parsley, to taste .
  • 2 (16 oz) packages shredded mozzarella cheese .
  • 2 lbs ground beef .
  • 2 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Brown the ground beef In a large-ish pan.
  • Step #2 Drain the grease.
  • Step #3 Add all of the chunky vegitable sauce & enough of the original/spice for the meat to be able to simmer.
  • Step #4 Simmer for 30 mins.
  • Step #5 Meanwhile boil the lasagna noodles.
  • Step #6 Mix the ricotta cheese & eggs.
  • Step #7 Add parsley & italian seasoning until the cheese is well flecked with it (i tend to use about a palmful of each).
  • Step #8 When the meat is done, put a thin layer of meat on the bottom of the lasagna pan.
  • Step #9 Then add layers of noodles, meat, ricotta mix, & mozzarella cheese to the top (end with mozzarella).
  • Step #10 Bake for 45 mins covered with tinfoil wrap & 30 mins uncovered at 325F degrees.
  • Step #11 Serves 6-10 when made In a large-ish pan.
