Ingredients
2 c all-purpose flour .
1/2 c whole milk .
1/4 c sugar .
1/2 c unsalted butter, chilled, cut into 1/2-inch cubes .
1 egg .
1 tbsp baking powder .
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
Step #1 Pre-heat oven to 400F degrees F.
Step #2 Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step #3 Combine flour, sugar, baking powder & salt In a large-ish bowl.
Step #4 Add butter & rub it in with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Step #5 Whisk milk & egg together in a small bowl.
Step #6 Add milk mixture to dry ingredients, stirring til dough forms & turn dough out onto lightly floured board.
Step #7 Knead carefully, about five turns & pat dough into 6" x 4" rectangle.
Step #8 Cut into 8 rounds & arrange on baking sheet, separated by about 2".
Step #9 Bake about 13 mins or til tester comes out clean.
