Almond Orange Couscous Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c sliced almonds, toasted .
  • 1 c chicken broth or vegetable broth .
  • 1 tbsp orange zest, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter or vegan margarine .
  • 2 tbsps sliced fresh cilantro .
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt .
  • 3/4 c dry couscous

Directions
  • Step #1 Prepare couscous, using broth for the water & adding butter.
  • Step #2 Fluff with a fork.
  • Step #3 Stir in almonds & seasonings.
  • Step #4 Serve.
  • Step #5 Note: To prepare: Bring broth to boil.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat.
  • Step #7 Stir in Couscous.
  • Step #8 Let sit 5 mins.
  • Step #9 For all Vegetarians use the Vegetable Broth.
  • Step #10 For Vegans or non Lacto Vegetarians use the margarine sub.
