Crabby Cream Cheese Wontons Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 quart oil for deep frying
  • 1 bunch green onions, finely sliced
  • 2 tbsps soy sauce
  • 1 (14 oz) package wonton wrappers
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 (12 oz) package imitation crabmeat
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsps sesame oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil in a large, heavy saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 In a medium bowl, imitation crabmeat, sesame oil, mix together cream cheese, soy sauce, garlic, Worcestershire sauce & green onions.
  • Step #3 Place approximately 1 tsp of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Step #4 Place egg whites in a small bowl.
  • Step #5 Using the fingers, spread egg white over two edges of the wonton wrappers.
  • Step #6 Fold into triangles & press to seal edges.
  • Step #7 In small batches, deep fry the wontons until golden brown, 2 to 4 mins.
  • Step #8 Drain on paper towels & serve warm.
