Chex Candy Squares Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps all-purpose flour .
  • 1 c caramel topping .
  • 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips .
  • 1 c salted cashew halves, sliced .
  • 1 (16 1/2 oz) roll put in the fridged sugar cookie dough .
  • 4 c Corn Chex .
  • 1 c miniature M&M baking bits

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350°F Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Step #2 In medium bowl, break up cookie dough.
  • Step #3 Stir or knead in cashews.
  • Step #4 With floured fingers, press dough in bottom of pan to form crust.
  • Step #5 Bake 18 to 23 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #6 In medium saucepan, place chocolate chips, caramel topping & flour; cook & stir over low heat/flame until smooth.
  • Step #7 Remove from heat; stir in the cereal & 1/2 c of the baking bits.
  • Step #8 Spread evenly over crust.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top with remaining 1/2 c baking bits; press in lightly.
  • Step #10 Cool completely, about 1 hr.
  • Step #11 For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.
