Cheesy Swiss Ham And Egg Bake With Potato Crust Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 large eggs .
  • 1 (10 oz) can sliced mushrooms, well drained .
  • black pepper .
  • 1 tbsp melted butter .
  • 2 tbsps whipping cream or 18% table cream .
  • 1 (15 oz) package frozen potato patties (slightly thawed) .
  • 1/4 tsp paprika .
  • 2 c finely sliced cooked ham .
  • 2 c shredded swiss cheese (can use more cheese) .
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt (or to taste)

Directions
  • Step #1 Grease a 9-inch baking dish.
  • Step #2 Cut & fit the potato patties into the bottom of the pie plate; press firmly, then brush with melted butter.
  • Step #3 Bake at 425F degrees for about 20 mins; remove this from oven.
  • Step #4 Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top with grated cheese, ham & mushrooms.
  • Step #6 In a small bowl whisk together eggs with whipping cream, seasoned salt & black pepper, then pour over the pie.
  • Step #7 Bake for 30-40 mins or until center is set.
  • Step #8 Let stand for 10 mins.
