Mashed Potato Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c shredded cheddar cheese .
  • 1/3 c cooked bacon, pieces .
  • 1 c French-fried onions .
  • 8 oz sour cream .
  • 3 c instant potato flakes .
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine .
  • 3 c water .
  • 1 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Step #2 In 3-quart saucepan, heat water & butter to boiling.
  • Step #3 Boil 1 min, stirring constantly.
  • Step #4 Add milk; remove this from heat.
  • Step #5 Stir in potato flakes with fork until potatoes are desired consistancy.
  • Step #6 Stir in sour cream & cheese.
  • Step #7 Spoon into ungreased 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish.
  • Step #8 Sprinke bacon & onions over top.
  • Step #9 Bake 20 to 25 mins or until hot.
